A 3-day luxury fly-in safari from Zanzibar: fly straight into the Serengeti, stay in a tented camp, visit the Ngorongoro Crater and fly back to Zanzibar.
On this short safari, you'll get to enjoy the Serengeti ecosystem and its wildlife. Fly into the Serengeti, thus avoiding long drives, then continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater before taking a flight back to Zanzibar. This is a luxury short safari.

Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Zanzibar Airport for a scheduled light-aircraft flight to the Serengeti. Depending on the season and airline, the flight is direct or stops at Arusha and Lake Manyara on the way, arriving in the late morning or around midday. Your guide meets you at the airstrip, and after lunch at camp you head out for an afternoon game drive and sunset in the Serengeti.

Early breakfast, game drive to various regions of the park, return to lodge for lunch. Check out and begin the journey back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (with crater views, at the top of the crater) in the evening. Check in, dinner, early night ahead of an early morning descent into the crater.

Early breakfast and check-out, then down into the Ngorongoro Crater at first light, when the animals are most active. On a morning game drive you look for black rhino, lion, elephant, hyena, buffalo and flamingos on the soda lake. Around midday you climb out of the crater and drive to Arusha Airport (about 3 hours) for the afternoon flight back to Zanzibar, with a packed lunch on the way. The time in the crater depends on the flight schedule on your travel date.
