This Privacy Policy explains how Lion Crest Expeditions (trading as "Lion Crest Safaris," "Lion Crest," "we," "us") handles information when you visit lioncrestsafaris.com or contact us through it. We've written this to describe what this site actually does — not generic boilerplate.
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to submit through our enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), travel dates, package of interest, and any message you write. The form also tells us which language you were viewing the site in, so we can reply appropriately. We do not require an account, a password, or any information beyond what that form asks for.
This site does not use cookies, analytics tools, or advertising trackers of any kind. We don't track your browsing behaviour, build a profile of you, or share data with advertisers, because we don't collect it in the first place.
If you choose a language or a currency using the switcher at the top of the page, your browser remembers that choice on your own device (using your browser's local storage), along with recently downloaded exchange rates. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
When you submit the enquiry form, your information is sent through Web3Forms, a third-party form-processing service, which then delivers it directly to our email inbox. Web3Forms processes this data solely to route your message to us and does not use it for advertising. You can read their privacy policy at web3forms.com/privacy.
Our own inbox (info@lioncrestsafaris.com) forwards to a personal mailbox we monitor directly, so a real person reads and replies to every enquiry.
We use the information you submit for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry with a tailored safari itinerary and pricing, and to correspond with you by email or WhatsApp about a potential or confirmed booking. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
If you contact us through the WhatsApp button on this site, that conversation takes place on WhatsApp's own platform and is governed by WhatsApp's (Meta's) privacy policy, not this one. We have no control over how WhatsApp itself handles that data on their systems.
This website does not process payments directly and does not collect or store card details. If you proceed with booking a safari, payment is arranged either through a secure card-payment link or invoice from our payment provider (Visa and Mastercard accepted), sent to you directly by email or WhatsApp after your booking is confirmed, or by bank transfer to our business account. For card payments, that provider, not Lion Crest Expeditions, handles and secures your payment details.
This site loads its typefaces (DM Serif Display and Manrope) from Google Fonts' servers to display correctly. Loading this font involves your browser making a request to Google, which may log your IP address as part of Google's own standard server operations. We do not receive or access this data ourselves.
On some Windows browsers, the country flags in the phone-number field are drawn with a small font (Twemoji Country Flags) that may be loaded from jsDelivr, a public content-delivery network, which may likewise log your IP address. Prices on this site are set in US dollars. If you choose to view them in another currency, your browser downloads current exchange rates from ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com). Like any web server, theirs may log your IP address when it receives that request. No request is made unless you choose a currency other than US dollars. Converted prices are approximate; all bookings are quoted and paid in US dollars.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Like any web host, Cloudflare's servers process standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and browser type) to deliver the site and protect against abuse, in line with Cloudflare's own privacy practices.
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you book with us, to deliver and support your safari. If you'd like us to delete your information and have no active or upcoming booking with us, contact us and we will do so.
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@lioncrestsafaris.com. We will respond promptly.
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors submitting the enquiry form on their own behalf. Bookings for minors should be made by a parent or guardian.
If how this website handles information changes — for example, if we add analytics or online payment collection in the future — we will update this page to reflect that accurately.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
